Troy do you know if there is any way for simcraft to show the dps increase for gaining hit rather than loosing it? I'm siting just above the soft cap and I want to know what hit is now worth but it is obviously telling me the value for dropping below the soft cap which is greatly inflated.

There isnt a softcap for hit iirc?
Just some numbers you NEED to get before eliminating missing at all.

In some specs hit isnt mandatory, but for dps it always is.

There is for fury warriors (and all dual wielders IIRC). Special attacks cap at 8% which is mandatory but white attacks do not cap until 27%.

Can I have a sim run please? I'm a bit confused about the Crit>Haste>mastery or Haste>Crit>mastery stuff... Would be much appreciated.

I'll do that shortly but first a bit of waffle, that isn't entirely relevant. Yet.

Haste Soft Caps

Incl. 5% Spell Haste buff & Dark Intent

Corr 7th tick: 22
Imm 6th tick: 220
Corr 8th tick: 1996
Imm 7th tick: 2588

You need to be careful of your stat weights. SimulationCraft works out your stat weights by incrementally adding a stat and retesting, up to 300 rating.

If an extra 300 haste rating would take you over one of those boundaries, your weight for haste rating gets inflated.

In particular, that 7th tick of Immolate is quite a milestone. You suddenly get an extra 17% damage on your Immolate, which also counts towards your [spell]71384[/spell].

Anyway, without looking, it's very unlikely that you are near that 2588 haste rating figure. Hence the Yet.

It should be noted, however, that if at any point you find that you can reforge your gear enough to hit one of those numbers in the table above, then you should do so, regardless of what SimulationCraft tells you.

I should probably include the figures for BoA as well but personally I find I don't use it often. If there isn't enough time for a BoD then I generally don't use another Bane at that point.

On a more general note, Mastery was buffed in 4.0.6 but it's still likely to be the worst stat. Crit took a hit because of the change to [spell]77801[/spell] : Imp. Before 4.0.6, crit and haste were close and the advice was check your own figures. I suspect that now, haste will come out on top for everyone. It certainly does for me.

Will post back later with your results.

I did try and do yours over the weekend Fien, but am having problems again with simcraft, it either cant locate armory profiles or just crashes when attempting to do so.

Are you having any problems Troy, am using 406-3 at the moment. 406-1 worked fine for the short time it was current but is obviously now out of date.

Thanks for the effort folks, awaiting the data :p

I will assume then that Haste beats Crit in my case. Reforging ftw!

Sounds to me like it might be "Use positive deltas only" on the Options -> Scaling tab.
