Cylo's guide to Relic hunting!

Hi guys,

you've probably been wondering why are those BoA items are so sought after?
Well, that's because they're awesome! and you should get {achievement}Is Another Man's Treasure{/achievement} too! This is a short

post about how to get them all.

There are possible 28 items you can find around Pandaria, out of which you need to collect at least 20 in order to win "the

Relic Hunter" title. The following tube vid shows you how: {spoiler=Lost and Found / Is Another Man Treasure Achievement WoW

(The Relic Hunter) Looting all items}{youtube}euIVrGfjcoo{/youtube} Or the Alternative

{/spoiler}

The Full List is in the first (highest rated) comment of {achievement}Lost And Found{/achievement}.

To make things easier, you may follow these next few steps:

1. Download {url=http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/tomtom}TomTom{/url} so by using the following

macros you can see where you're going and plan your course! It is a very easy addon to install and set up. It basically marks the

location you want on the map and there is an optional arrow pointer you can use to show you which direction to fly to the last

coordination you entered. If you have titan panel or any other data broker display addon (I personally use

{url=http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/bazooka}Bazooka{/url}) you can place the addon within the bar

and avoid screen clutter!

2. Since TomTom doesn't remember the location you enter once you have reached it, you need to keep entering that location. You can

do it by using several {b}Macros{/b}:

{u}The Jade Forest{/u}

Batch 1
{code}/way The Jade Forest 41.8 17.6

Batch 3
{code}/way Dread Wastes 28.8 41.9
/way Dread Wastes 25.9 50.3
/way Dread Wastes 48.7 30.0 {/code}

NOTE: once more, {npc}Glinting Rapana Whelk{/npc} is surprisingly a glinting NPC - it is easy to miss it since it is a small

snail. {item}Bloodsoaked Chitin Fragmet{/item} Is deep inside an underwater cave, {item}Blade of the

Prime{/item} is deep inside the saurok's burrow, right behind {npc}Mistblade Scale-Lord{/npc}. Most of the other items

tend to hide inside bushes.

{u}Townlong Steppes{/u}
{code}/way Townlong Steppes 66.3 44.7
/way Townlong Steppes 66.8 48.0 {/code}

3. Using _NpcScan

If you still didn't {url=http://www.curse.com/search?type=addons ... nload{/url}

it - you should! It is a very good rare elite alert addon. You may want to download the addon and the overlay which shows you on

the map where each rare spawns (there is also a data broker addon for the overlay, with which you can enable and disable the

overlay by a click of a button inside your favorite data broker bar (Titan panel or others).

Once the addon picks up a desired NPC nearby (a rare elite in most cases ) it will target it and mark it with a green triangle. You will also be able to target it

again using the addon's special targeting box that will appear at the bottom of your screen (with a cool 3D model of the NPC

itself!)

In order to keep having these alerts after you have already encountered the boss, you need to clear the game's cache folder (and

this is an explanation about how to make ccleaner do it for you: http://huntsmanslodge.com/8725/getting- ... on-addons/)

Once you've set up the addon, you may enter these commands to allow alerts of all the necessary NPCs for relic hunting:

/npcscan add 65552 Glinting Rapana Whelk
/npcscan add 64227 Frozen Trail Packer
/npcscan add 64004 Ghostly Pandaren Fisherman
/npcscan add 64191 Ghostly Pandaren Craftsman
/npcscan add 64272 Jade Warrior Statue

And that's all folks! Good Hunting!

Sorry Cylo, I've had to mess with your post a bit, as it seems some of the forum addons aren't working (such as the Achievement link), and your post was killing the forum (grats!).

I will try and get them sorted out in the new year.
Stealth is an option.
