For Oblivion. And some other stuff, I suppose.

War Never Changes (official Fallout 4 thread)

#1 Post by TroyBlade » Tue Nov 10, 2015 3:06 pm

BE WARY OF SPOILERS IN THIS THREAD

I have some noob questions.

How can I recharge my power suit core? I was expecting it to have something to do with the power suit stations but I can't seem to do anything with those.

And in general, do I wear my power suit all the time or just grab it when I really need it? How will I know when I really need it? :)

I have so much crap already. All the stuff that isn't "junk" has filled my inventory. I've already scrapped about 30 weapons and a load of useless armour pieces just so I can walk unencumbered but I still have all sorts of clothes and weapon mods that I can't scrap. I should just store them anyway and find a vendor later or?

Where is the first vendor?

I still need to go and buy the game... Can't you build a settlement yet? Maybe that has a workshop with power suit loading dock. Otherwise... shoot it with plasma or electricity? Maybe your local Brotherhood of Steel hideout has a docking station.

Aren't vendors a balancing act between buying and selling anyway?

I'm sure I already have the loading dock. In the home base that also has armour, weapon and building workshops. I just can't seem to use it as anything other than yet another storage box.

I will take another look at it I guess.

Ok I found another power core, so I guess we just replace them rather than recharge them.

Good to know! So I bought the game... and then we went out for dinner and to watch a movie.
So maybe tonight! Though we have to pack some more stuff as well...

Don't worry. It's good so far, but it's no Payday.

I got to play the game last night! Only an hour or so, but I enjoyed it! Familiar tunes and the familiar look of a vault. Played as far as getting out of it again. Can't comment much on bugs, gameplay and aesthetics yet. Needs further investigation! Yeey!

I haven't really done very much yet. I spend all my time scavenging and base building. Or more accurately, base tidying.

So right now it's great. because I have hardly any quests and the map isn't full of icons. I almost don't want to play any more because I don't want that to change..

I'm sure the resource search feature doesn't work. Or at least, if you search for fuses it wouldn't highlight an old tv, even though you could scrap the old tv and get a fuse. It is supposed to highlight it in some way right?

Could you put "old tv" in that search feature? Nice though... there actually is a search feature! Finding anything in the Wasteland is based on pure luck. This game is going to cost so much time!
