Really looking forward to BR2049. El really dislikes Ryan Gosling (?) so might be going solo

Strava segments are AMAZING.
Yeah. They let me know that of the 645 people who rode up this stupid windy road, I came 635th.

Cheers Rev.

BR2049

it's Long, slow (but it has to be), visually exceptional, stunning. the story stands the comparison with the original. characters are fine, i really liked "K" with his complexity.

music reminded VANGELIS but it wasn't.....that's a real loss!

i really hope you're going to enjoy watching it. let me know your thoughts about it.

what i might say is like Fury Road or The Force awakens it has the strenght of the new way of making movies (rhythm, shots and sequences) and all the applied technology but for my generation it has the weight to be compared to feelings and emotions felt (as teenager) watching the original.

anyway i liked it.

edit:
actually Fury Road can't be used as example because it was entirely AMAZING. i might put the new star trek (if i were and old school trekker)

Have you seen what pro cyclists eat during the Tour de France. The amounts of carbs are ridiculous. You could maybe investigate why those guys eat so much during a tour. I think it has to do with energy levels and muscle fitness but I'm not sure. Ofc, do not pick up their schedule but it might tell us more. Same goes for marathon runners I think. With pasta meals and bananas etc. My guess would be that you need carbs when you excercise but I don't know how nor why.

I plan to do my first running tomorrow evening. When I bought the stuff, the lady that helped me mentioned they have a beginner's schedule on their website. Need to check that out first though.

@Jeym: I am still enjoying Destiny 2 a lot. I play it in both large stretches or small ones. Most of the segments can be completed in 15 - 30 minutes. Things like story missions, mini solo dungeons, strikes (dungeons) and the Crucible (multiplayer). It's a nice "FPS'ing WoW extra-lite".

Thanks Fien - I can't commit to a MMO so that put me off. But the single player is solid? Should I start with Destiny 1?

There is definitely plenty of good solo content in Destiny.

And you can get every DLC and expansion ever for £16 on Amazon. (Still £50 on digital.)

Have you tried Doom? That's supposed to have great single player. Same with Wolfenstein TOB and the other Wolfenstein I think.

This weekend I finally cracked the top 1000 on one of my local segments So that's only 997 people (using Strava) who've ridden up that hill faster than me. That's a lot of people.

Making good progress on Zelda now. Playing for nearly 2 hours a day on the train, and focusing on not getting sidetracked. I think I can finish it before Skyrim. I think.

Yeah, but you're in the top 10%. Not in the bottom 1%.

I've come to the conclusion that I definitely need to eat more carbs. I think they are needed after exercise, not just before.

If my weight loss suffers, I don't think it matters. Being fit should be the priority, since once I'm running proper distances, the weight loss should be pretty much guaranteed.
