Oblivion - Topic Of The Year Edition

For Oblivion. And some other stuff, I suppose.

Ah, the PS4 is in the other room, on the big telly, but the problem is I have to sit far away from that so I still can't read the text. I've got a PSTV hooked up in here so I can play PS4 in here if needed, but it's very slightly laggy and not perfect quality. It's ok for Minecraft though, so gets the kids off the lounge TV.

That looks great! I still need a bit of wall decoration for our Game-room.

My Dark Souls print came from a place in Germany. They do loads of nice ones, but I didn't really have space for more than one. They do an awesome John Wick one, that I was sooo tempted by. Maybe next time.

I think I mentioned it before but I would like to get some stuff from:
https://displate.com/

My brother bought a nice "multiplate" set from them and it looks AMAZING.

Discovery... Netflix? Would I enjoy it, you think? We recently watched Stranger Things S2 - E1. Enjoyable but no "explosive" opening like S1.
We know, it will all get a lot better if we would just keep on watching, right? :ninja:

I agree, the last 2 Discoverys have been really good. 2 small things to note if you plan on watching it - the 2 part opener is quite different from the rest of it. So you could love the first 2 episodes and then hate it, or vice versa. So I suggest giving it to at least episode 1.3. And also note that it really isn't Star Trek at all. So if you are one of those people, <points>, you might end up complaining to yourself that it's not what you were expecting.

Stranger Things was more of the same. I liked it just fine, except for 1 weird episode around 2.7 or so, which seemed to be epsiode 1 of a spin off series, which won't be happening after all. (Just a theory.)

Fine. I'll watch 1.3. I slept so well in 1.2, at least I'll get another good sleep out of it if it's more of the same. Did anything important happen in 1.2?

I watched John Wick 2 again! Liked it a lot more this time. Clearly not a patch on 1, but still way better than Atomic Blonde (which I also liked a lot).

i guess the fact i like Discovery is because it's not a proper trekker serie.

i found a bit boring few central episodes of the first part (i guess they were needed anyway to keep the main story interesting).

i still find a couple of minor chars quite annoying....

Well... duh.
Spoiler!
So Michael knows exactly how to face up to the Klingons, but Michelle Yeoh can't see it. So Michael knocks her out, takes command, is going to fight the Klingon, which would have gained the respect of the Klingon Empire, but instead, Michelle wakes up, stops her, tries to make peace with the Klingons, which inadvertently starts the war, and loads more Klingons arrive for a huge battle, and the Shengzou is destroyed along with Michelle Yeoh. Whilst Michael is charged with Hat eating contest and everyone thinks she started the war and got thousands of people killed, when really she was right all along.

Ah the good old Hat eating contest.
