I finally watched the Babadook.

I thought it was famous for everyone either loving it or hating it. For me, it was just good.

I'm surprised it took her possession by Babadook to threaten to snap the kids neck though.

I think my only issue with the film was that
Spoiler!
She beats it by the power of determination? Like, defiantly shouting at it? Seems a bit weak.

The end was ok. Having to accept it because "you can't get rid of" it. That I didn't mind. Somewhat original in that respect, at least.
Anyway yes, I liked it. I give it an 8. I'm just not sure how it makes a top 10 films of the last decade list.

Every time you mention the Babadook I have to do a search to remember what I thought of it, because my memory is terrible, and I didn't find it memorable at all. Anyway, I'm in the hating it camp, apparently.

I should probably watch it again, but there are too many films that I didn't hate that I want to watch again, first.

Hmm, you said it was fucking shit. Kat loved it. Kelo said it was the best horror ever.

So yes, everyone loves it or hates it, except me. Although I'm definitely on the positive end. It was a million miles away from "fucking shit".

as for i remember it i can say i didn't love it.

i liked, the book, the colours, the initial feeling (the story becomes real...)

i remember i didn't like the boy and the mother (i recall her as silly, i forgot why or when....)

i didn't hate it...but it actually didn't leave me any impulse to watch it again...ever.

This weekend, I watched the first 3 episodes of Titans.

It was not really what I was expecting at all.

First of all, it's dark. There is no humour. Ever. Nothing like the Arrowverse.

It's violent. Really violent. And yet not particularly good action. Some times these things time to find their feet. Anyway nothing like the Arrowverse.

And it started off exactly how you'd expect. Younger street level heroes. A bit like the Arrowverse.. And then, it turns into something completely different over the next couple of episodes. There's no more crime fighting. It's now suddenly a biblical prophecy thing. I presume that ep. 1 was a pilot and they decided to change the direction a bit.

It also suffers from some bad special effects. It's probably worse than Legends of Tomorrow, for example. It is definitely bad enough to take you out of the story and it surprises me, in 2019.

Anyway, it was OK. I'm not saying I really like any of the characters yet but they have potential. I have read that it gets better as the season goes on. Will stick with it for a while at least.

Yes, I'm only up to #2, but we're enjoying it so far. It's a bit different, for sure.

We were almost going to let our kids watch it, as they're been Teen Titans fans. Glad we didn't now!

HITG - The hawk lady in Ep. 2 was Autumn from 500 Days of Summer.
