You killed John Wick's Dog's Human, and that human was John Wick.

I don't fully understand, from the EJ Destro Lock guide, which pet I should be using.
According to the FAQ at the start of the article, I should use a Infernal.
But, several of the required talents are imp specific.
But I should use SF as much as possible to keep the same debuff on the boss, as my imp provides.
I'm a bit at a loss here and there is no real help from the article.(or I missed it again...)
What is the pet to use in case of a destro lock?
Edit: or did I miss the most AMAZING clue that I can have both at the same time?
Infernal is a guardian.... (Yes you missed it)
Pet is still an Imp, cause of the burning embers iirc and the soulfire proc.

Imp FTW.
Infernal and Doomguard are just dps cooldowns and yes, they can be used in addition to your pet.

Locks have always been able to level in any spec. Affliction historically had the least downtime but Soul Harvest means you can heal yourself every 30 seconds anyway if you need to, in any spec.
If you go demo you'll probably be able to solo all the 2 and 3 man group quests you get in early Outland.
I would just pick whatever you want to play at 85, so you learn it.
You killed John Wick's Dog's Human, and that human was John Wick.

As you are reaching WotlK, you can solo most of the quests, except the 100k+ mobs in Dragonblight. Destro is AMAZING for burning through mobs. Demo gives more survivability and affli is just a tad slow for my liking. Destro or Demo would be my preferences.
But as Troy said, keep in mind what you want at 85.
